Milena Harito

Ms. Milena Harito was born in Tirana, on October 4, 1966. She is married to Mr. Isidor Shteto and has two children, a son and a daughter.

In 1997, she earned a PhD in Communication and Information Technology from Paris VI University, in France. She holds a Master’s Degree in the same field (DESS – Diplôme d'études supérieures specialises) that she obtained from the same above-mentioned university, Paris VI, in 1993.

She attended her five-year university studies in Tirana, at the Faculty of Social Sciences (1984-1989) and graduated with excellent results. She completed secondary studies with honours from Sami Frasheri High School in Tirana.

Ms. Harito’s career started in the Institute of Information Technology, as Research Fellow in 1989 and continued in France from April 1991 to September 1992, at a private company operating in the field of information technology. Following her PhD degree she was recruited by the biggest European Telecommunication Research Centre, CNET, at France Telecom, Paris.

Successively, she continued to work within France Telecom-Orange operator, at the strategic department and was in charge of the relations with the European French Regulatory Body. Further, she had leading positions as head of department in several sectors, ranging from innovation to product implementation.

Ms. Harito was elected as Member of the Albanian Assembly in the general elections of 2013.

Ms. Harito is fluent in French and has very good knowledge of English and Italian.
