The Olympics of Skills, the revival of crafts through vocational education

Published on: 28 April 2017
This list includes many other crafts, and it shows a very simple thing. Albania, a country that has fantastic natural resources and a population that in 25 years of transition has shown that individually it has the ability to survive any kind of challenge – just think of the challenges faced by the Albanians across the sea – has actually lost the ability to address these potentials. To sum up, three and a half years ago Albania lacked skilled workers in any potential trade. But today Albania has eightfold more lawyers than Germany, and we cannot say that our judicial system can be comparable to that of Germany. Quite the opposite.

Elections on June 18, respecting the people who have entrusted us with the government

Published on: 27 April 2017
The deadline for the registration of candidates for the elections of June 18 expires tomorrow, and of course we will respect the deadline and certainly we will also respect the date set by the President of the Republic, based on the Constitution of the Republic, to go before the people and have their judgment on this mandate that is heading towards its end.

In the Assembly for the Vetting, the boycott and the reforms

Published on: 20 April 2017
There are no easy debates, but the easiest debate today, in the eyes of the public opinion, is the debate on the State Police which today, after three and a half years, is considered by citizens a completely reborn, respected and trustworthy authority.

On the path of Health Renaissance. A modern hospital opens its doors to Tirana

Published on: 19 April 2017
First of all, I want to wish good health and success to the whole team of this new hospital, where approximately 500 people have been employed – we will have the correct number from Social Insurances – and where optimal conditions have been created in order to increase the quality of healthcare, not just for the capital city but also across the country.

From a field of waste into a plant for the waste processing and energy production. A unique work in the country

Published on: 18 April 2017
I immediately ordered the demolition of all those buildings that have had the hospital of Elbasan taken hostage. A range of pharmacies that are part of the old and rusty chain of corruption, which we have broken in various points, but we still need to break it once and for all. And for this reason, a lot of work, a lot of hard work, a lot of patience and a lot of common energy are still required so that we can manage to make state wherever the state must exist.

TIRANA030, the Next Generation Capital City Plan

Published on: 14 April 2017
This is a moment of special importance for the capital city, of course also for other cities, the new municipalities, which finally enter the path of European civilization in terms of the vision and planning of the future.

The future of those who believe in the beauty of their dreams

Published on: 12 April 2017
I am very honoured to be here today. It's one of those moments when the privilege of being in this position is overwhelming as you are given the opportunity to be very close to people like Enkelejda, an artist whom we feel honoured and lucky to have.

Free legalizations, real work for the Albania we want

Published on: 07 April 2017
Before arriving here I toured the sites of Urban Renaissance in Fier. The Mayor told me that every time a new site is opened and the news is posted on FB, there are reactions from people who are looking forward to a site where they live. This is quite natural, as it is quite natural that today as we speak, many residents in the district of Fier and residents all over Albania ask “when is it going to happen here also?”

Fear of the vetting blocks the elections

Published on: 06 April 2017
I believe that it is very important not to allow for any second that the starting point of the attempt that gave life to the tent be forgotten. It was not the attempt to have better elections that gave life to the tent. It was the fear of the vetting.

One step forward every day towards the Albania we want

Published on: 06 April 2017
This school is another significant example. We can and will do together what we want, together for you and the Albania we want! The other Albania needs what we are here today for, and which will continue to do every day in order to make state, to have an Albania that works, where people work for each other, where the state works for the people, where people work for themselves and for the country in order to ensure prosperity.
