Prime Minister Rama arrived this morning at the venue where the proceedings of the 8th European Political Community Summit will be held (Karen Demirchyan Complex) in Yerevan, Armenia, with the participation of 48 heads of state and government from across the continent, and, for the first time, with the participation of a non-European country, Canada.
Upon arrival, Prime Minister Rama responded to questions from the media present:
-What is the Albanian’s priority for the negotiation with the EU?
Prime Minister Edi Rama:* It’s another summit, another opportunity to share our common ambitions and concerns and in the meantime, another great chance to see how much we can do together and how important it is to go further with the unification of Europe.
I have to see what the real thing behind it is, and in the meantime it is clear that as we are doing NATO has to rely more on the European side.
-What can the European Union completely offer to countries that want to join?
Prime Minister Edi Rama: It’s not about offering anything, to two or more countries. It’s about thinking and acting fast because it’s about Europe itself, it’s about the European Union itself.
A European Union that is not completed is weaker and is more vulnerable than a European Union that is completed.
Subsequently, Prime Minister Rama and the accompanying delegation were welcomed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.
