Today, Albanians commemorate the 81st anniversary of the Liberation, a National Day of Remembrance that honors the sacrifice, resistance, and heroism of the thousands of young men and women who gave their lives for the country’s freedom.

An official wreath-laying ceremony was held at the National Martyrs’ Cemetery, attended by the highest state authorities.

Prime Minister Edi Rama laid a wreath of flowers at the “Mother Albania” Monument and bowed in respect before the memory of the fallen, paying tribute to their supreme sacrifice in the name of freedom and Albania’s future.

The message of this day remains constant and unchanging over the years: eternal honor and gratitude to the Martyrs of the Nation.
