Albanian Government Council of Ministers

Prime Minister Rama will today carry out an official visit to Paris, including a working lunch at the Élysée Palace, at the invitation of the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron.

The visit takes place within the framework of the high-level political dialogue between Albania and France, aimed at further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, discussing the new approach to the accession process, for which the Prime Minister of Albania has been among the most vocal advocates, as well as the upcoming NATO Summit in Ankara.

The meeting follows a series of previous meetings between the two leaders, who met officially in Paris in April 2024, as well as in Tirana in October 2023 and May 2025, while regular meetings have also taken place in various multilateral formats and through telephone contacts.

Albania values the role of France and the personal commitment of President Macron in promoting a new approach toward the Western Balkans and in supporting the European perspective of the region.

In this context, the visit to Paris is expected to reaffirm the shared will to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries and to further advance Albania’s European integration process.
